Jerusalem Office

The Jerusalem Office

The Jerusalem Office is the Association’s representative office in the Holy Land. It is located in the Schmidt’s Girls College/Paulushaus compound in East Jerusalem (opposite Damascus Gate). The office was established in 2002 to support the Association’s Secretariat-General and thus to expand the range of services offered by the German Association of the Holy Land to local and to German and international partner organisations. Nowadays the Jerusalem Office’s core tasks include

  • coordination of the Association’s day-to-day business in the Holy Land
  • legal and administrative support of the Association’s institutions and local partners
  • documentation and evaluation of local church-related and socio-political developments
  • networking within the field of (Catholic) relief organisations in the Holy Land.

The office’s working languages are English and German while the staff members also speak Arabic, Hebrew and French.
